ChiChi
Mbachu, M.S. is
President of the
Chemical Engineering Graduate Research Association (CEGRA) and is
a Ph.D. Chemical Engineering student at Tennessee Technological
University
in Cookeville TN, USA. Her interest is built around education, water,
environment and energy systems, and information communication and
technology.
ChiChi earned her M.S. in Chemical Engineering from
Tennessee
Technological University in Cookeville TN, USA that earned her several
prestigious scholarships including an Outstanding Chemical Engineering
Masters Student for 2010. She earned her B. Tech degree in Food
Science and
Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria in
2001. She earned her M.S. in Food Science and Technology from the
Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria in 2003.
ChiChi has excellent research, interpersonal, teamwork, analytical, and
communication skills and has managed technical, human resources, and
achieved set goals within timelines and budgets. Due to her love and
passion for ensuring environmental sustainability, she switched from
Food Science and Technology to study Chemical Engineering. As a Chemical
Engineer, her experience is in the area of renewables, energy, and
environmental systems, water treatment, wastewater remediation, exhaust
gas cleaning, and plasma-assisted material synthesis as well as in the
mathematical modeling high oxidative technology in solving humanity’s
grand challenges.
She was accepted and awarded a scholarship to attend the 10 week summer
program of the Prestigious Singularity University Graduate Studies
Program at NASA AMES Research Park Moffett Field, Silicon Valley,
California to study Exponential Technologies. Her team was
igniSolar which developed concentrated photovoltaic solar cells
to harness the potential power of the sun to provide electricity to
households and small businesses.
