Ned has authored books on various psychological topics, including problems with attention, focus, stress, and worry. His international bestsellers, Driven To Distraction : Recognizing and Coping with Attention Deficit Disorder from Childhood Through Adulthood, and Answers to Distraction discuss Attention Deficit Disorder in children and in adults. Ned has also completed two videotapes for the Public Broadcasting System (PBS), one about managing worry, the other about the power of connection. These were shown on PBS stations around the country in 1999. He has appeared on such national television shows as “20/20”, “The Today Show”, “Dateline”, “Oprah”, “Good Morning America”, and “The View”.

Ned earned his medical degree from Tulane University Medical School. He lives in the Boston area with his wife, Sue, a social worker, and their three children, Lucy, Jack, and Tucker.
