Dr. Gabriella De Lucia
Gabriella De Lucia, Ph.D. is Postdoc,
Max-Planck Institut für Astrophysik, Garching,
Germany. Her research interests include
semi-analytic modeling of galaxy formation, clusters of
galaxies, and evolution of galaxies in different environments.
Gabriella was first author of
Substructures in cold dark matter haloes,
The Buildup of the Red Sequence in Galaxy Clusters since z ~
0.8,
The formation history of elliptical galaxies, and
The hierarchical formation of the brightest cluster galaxies,
and coauthor of
The many lives of active galactic nuclei: cooling flows, black holes
and the
luminosities and colors of galaxies and
The Evolution of the Star Formation Activity in Galaxies and Its
Dependence on Environment.

at low redshift” in 2000. She earned her Doctor Rerum Naturalium
(Ph.D.) at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München, Germany
with the thesis “Evolution of galaxies in clusters” in
2004.
In 2008, she won the
Starting Independent Researcher Grant from the
European Community.
In February 2009, she will begin a 5-year Senior Researcher position at
