Justine is a community-building operations ninja who moves fluidly across industries, using her organizational prowess to set up processes and performance analytics to validate learning for iteration and innovation. She loves fast-paced environments managing projects with cross-disciplinary teams where she can enable communication, solve problems efficiently, and encourage collaboration across departments to support the delivery of inspiring products or campaigns.

Comfortable in diverse cultures and environments, Justine was born in the United States and raised by parents who immigrated from China and Hong Kong. As a teen in the early 90s she participated in the world of local BBSing and founded the very first online community “The Hurdler’s Domain” for the track & field sport of hurdling. Early on she became adept at using social technologies to create new communities of support and to create and spread new knowledge.

Since then Justine’s applied her passion to create communities around candidates, causes, creative projects and consumer products. She consults with companies on strategies and trends in social technologies to become thought leaders in their communities, tapping into the energy, creativity, and dispersed local knowledge within and outside their organization to help them scale & innovate.

She has spoken professionally on building a grassroots movement online at various universities and conferences.

Justine earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies with a minor in City & Regional Planning at University of California, Berkeley in 2002. She studied Chinese Language and Chinese Legal Studies at Beijing Normal University in 2001. She graduated Singularity University in 2011.
