Leigh Fulwood, J.D. is Corporate Counsel at Costco

Among her responsibilities at Costco are legal support for privacy,
information security and technology, as well as brand protection, both
online and otherwise.
Leigh was previously Senior Corporate Counsel at WRQ where she
supported the software integration business unit; negotiated large
enterprise software sales for integration and emulation products;
managed
trademark and patent portfolio and brand/patent defense strategies; and
managed export compliance function.
She was former in-house regional counsel for Telecommunications, Inc.,
where among other responsibilities, she worked on the constant problem
of piracy of both connectivity and content. (The company was acquired
by AT&T, which was then acquired by Comcast.)
Leigh was former counsel for an AT&T pilot business unit that deployed
voice,
Internet, and cable television services, was
former in-house attorney for Verizon (then known as GTE), and she has
represented many large and small technology and Internet companies as
outside counsel.
She holds patent
Method and system for automated electronic conveyance of hidden
data.
Leigh earned her B.A. (summa cum laude) at the University of Mississippi
and her
J.D. (Order of the Coif) at The College of William and Mary –
Marshall
Wythe Law School where she was an executive editor of the
law review. She also was
clerk to the Honorable E. Grady Jolly, United States Court of Appeals
for the Fifth Circuit.
