Markus Schmidt joins our Biotech/Medical Board and Ethics Board. Markus was a speaker at the first meeting of The U.S. Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues.
 
His research interests include risk assessment, the science-society interface, and technology assessment (TA) of novel bio-, nano-, and converging technologies, with a special focus on synthetic biology.
